International cooperation in the field of public financial management is important, especially for countries gathered in one region. Therefore, in a series of ASEAN Treasury Forum (ATF) 2024 activities, Indonesia emphasized its commitment in supporting synergies in the field of public financial management with other member countries.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia and the Vietnam State Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in Legian, Bali, Friday (04/10). Director General of Treasury Astera Primanto Bhakti and Director General of Vietnam State Treasury Tran Quan signed the MoU which includes cooperation in the implementation of programs in the field of state treasury, management of government budget implementation, cash management and optimization, government financial accounting and reporting, modernization of information technology, internal audit and control, and other fields.
“I would like to thank and appreciate the presence of the Vietnamese delegation in the ATF launching. We hope our cooperation in the future will be even closer,” said the Director General of Treasury.
This MoU will bind both parties to be able to exchange knowledge and experience through organizing focus group discussions, sharing sessions, organizing human resource capacity building programs such as workshops, training, seminars, and conferences with topics related to state financial management. Technical working groups will also be established to study, discuss, and share experiences on specific issues of mutual interest related to areas of cooperation. [LRN/BA]
